I am looking for a date correct, or at least period correct fuel pump for my 68' GTX. Any suggestions, or what are you all using? Thanks in advance

Youre right, you want a nice original BB pushrod. Year not important

I've run the Carter pumps available from Summit. No performance issues, and visually identical to the factory original that was removed from my '69 GTX during restoration. The current spare I have on the shelf has a different color finish than older ones I ordered, but is otherwise identical. The fuel pump was painted over during assembly at the factory, so the color of the finish is hidden in a detailed restoration.

Do you remember the Summit part number? I replaced the 383 version (5/16" fuel) and it had too high pressure @9psi.

There's a lot of that going on now days. A buddy bought a 383 2 barrel pump from Car Quest and it put out over 10#. You can look it up on the Summit website.
