OK. I "bucked up" and spent the $1,200+ dollars for the complete "factory correct" looking power steering for my GTX from Bouchillon Performance.

With the 440, and pistol grip steering this car at slow speed is like wresting a Grizzly bear.

Has anyone out there complete the conversion?

Any words of wisdom from "hind-sight" on the project?

i had to change out my p.s. gear. Besides raising the engine to get clearance, i had to pull the dipstick.

Good Luck!

I know a lot of people try to pull the steering box out the bottom, but it actually comes out from the topside. Remove the left engine mount bolt, remove battery and battery tray, jack engine up to get some extra clearance and it should come out the top. Also a good time to pull the steering column and perform the needed modifications to the shaft. It will need to be shortened.
