440 Source deep alu oil pan

Does anyone have any experience with Source's deep oil pan for 727?

Heavy Duty Cast Aluminum Deep Trans Pan

and

Torqueflight 727 - 1-1/4" filter extention kit

Unfortunately no luck with the 440 source one as we never tried it, but we like to use the one from Mancini Racing and that works very good. We got em on most of our cars and we got no complaints.

is your experience with the old sheet metal pan or the new aluminum one? At least the price is affordable for an aluminum pan

No experience with that pan, but a couple points....
I like the thickness to add strength to the trans case.
I think the thick pan, without cooling ribs, will tend to retain trans fluid heat, compared to a steel pan.
If I had a GOOD trans cooler, I'd give it a shot for that money (if I didn't already have a deep pan). I'd just make darn sure the gasket surface was flat.
