I use what the engine likes

Agree 100%. The engine will tell you, the sound, the fuel economy the noises. I’ve had engines like champion, I’ve had them like autolites, I think I even had a happy NGK car. Let the engine speak, not the internet peeps

j11y has a better tip location in the chamber, non-resistor (which could be an MSD issue) and is reasonably cold enough for racing. unfortunately they are extinct.
