Not a fan.......I wish they spent more time on design...

I too wasn't thrilled with their using the Charger name on a 4-door when they announced it.
Gave 'em hell about it every chance I had...
then I got over it, especially after I drove a couple of them back in the day.
I'm not going to be silly enough to not buy what I like simply because of a name.

We've owned two over the years, both the more sedate R/T models with the 5.7 hemi, an '06 and now a '12.
They've both been very well made cars - the unibody on these are TIGHT, man. I get tickled still when I back ours
out of the garage and it momentarily straddles the drainage ditch across the drive.
If you do it just right, it will teeter on diagonally opposite wheels as the other two come off the ground...

It's a very good handling, solid car - more so than the comparable Challenger to me (yes, same backbone, but the
Challenger is an "extended" skeleton version of the Chargers' bones).
Tops in crash testing, hauls butt for a two ton car, gets high 20's mpg on the highway...
and if you get a decent model of them, darn nice, too, with all the power doodads and leather, etc.
Easy to maintain, doesn't break stuff, all the usual accolades of a good "daily" but with the pentastar and some
giddy up.
The folks in Brampton know how to screw 'em together and it's obvious they're good at it.
Nothing here to dislike, really.

Now, do I disagree with them continuing to stick historic names from our beloved Mopars' history on them like
"Daytona"? HELL YES, ticks me off royally....but I'm glad our side is building all these Hellcat derivatives, too.
Who's gonna turn down the chance to drive a brand new, 717hp Mopar capable of 200+mph?
Not me, that's for damn sure...

No Nose, no Wing? Back to the drawing board. If you're going to do, go all the way, just like '69

Never did like the looks of the newer chargers. Not sure what you do with it cause the old charger design wouldn’t look that cool today in a retro fashion IMO. The challenger seemed like it was a bit easier to redesign with a retro look and yet look modern. But on the other hand that’s what these design engineers get paid for....

I'd love to see it at the high banks of Daytona

Had it goin on in 69. Man on the Moon, Woodstock, name it. High water mark. Slow decline after that. Cars, music.

I wasn't a proponent of the new 4 dr design either
sort of a sacrilege to do that with a Charger name/badging

but the look is growing on me, for a 4 dr sedan
some of the combos, cool for an old mans car/commuter or family car
where a 2dr isn't convenient

I'd love to see a retro (68-70) styled 2dr Charger

pretty cool write ups, often
for an American 4dr sedan, especially performance wise
which usually doesn't even get a mention prior

Old and new(ish), they all serve their purposes well.
They'll do...
