Ok. I have a cast iron 6 pack intake and carbs from a boat. The intake is the normal number. The carbs are list 6106,07,09. The intake was blue.
From what I know, these were put in pairs in boats, with the engine being called 375hp.
Anyway, I'm sure some of you guys can fill in a lot more details. I thought this was normal knowledge, until tallhair seemed shocked when I mentioned it.
So...post away.

Thanks beasty. I've heard of the Marine Hemi's but never heard of the 6 BBLs but it is interesting.

This was new to me too, but I did a Google search on the carb # and it came back as marine carbs.

Very interesting. News to me too. What years did they sell these packages?

Here's thread about them here. Has some good info but not pictures of the Marine 440 6 BBL intake. Beasty does it have a water jacket instead of a heat cross over?

There a photo of a 2-4 BBL intake with the water jacket in the thread http://www.marineengine.com/boat-forum/showthread.php?404682-Chrysler-440-Six-Pack/page2

More reading entertainment on Chrysler Marine. Has manuals to download etc. http://marinemechanic.com/chrysler/chrysler.htm

Interesting thaat there's no bowl vent on the center carb, but gas vapors in the bilge = kaboom. I'd also like to know where the thin line from the site glass goes to.

I've seen everything from slant six's to "Super Bee" 383's (with the tail stripe decal on the exhaust manifold) in boats, but this is a first for me.

Very cool, though.

That's 1 of the coolest things I've learned on this forum so far. I was aware of Chrysler marine engines but not with a 6 pack.

Wow, that's cool! In the fleabay link there is a pic of the engine with what looks like a velvet drive. Something like this usually gets installed in a big cabin cruiser or perhaps a twin engine application.

I'd be willing to bet that it came from a jet boat.

Most jet boats like mine (18' Tahiti) came with Olds 455, Chevy 454 or Ford 460. I have yet to see a MoPar big block factory installed in any 70's jet boat.

Here are some pics I've found on the net over the years. Pretty damn cool thats for sure.

Geez, I thought more ppl would know of these. I got my intake and carb setup off craigslist, for $700. Came from a crew boat, supposedly. Eventually going into my road runner.

I never heard of six pack carbed marine engines.

Me either, might have to follow this thread & maybe do some research on my own... what years ?? & what brand/make's of boats ??

I knew about Chrysler marine & some old Hemi stuff but never the multi-carb Wedge's & 6bbl apps... cool stuff, I learn something new everyday, I'm not a big boat guy... Boat just stands for Break Out Another Thousand in my family anyway...LOL...
