I was thinking about putting a cowl hood scoop on my 62 Savoy and this is what I think it would look like with about a 4" scoop

Yeah looks a little chevy. it will add an aggressive look anyway and what person under 35 will even know the difference. I say go for it. I don't know of any other scoops that will look any better for the price of cowl scoop. the scoop kinda fits with the stretched look of the four door.

I don't want really like the looks of the mopar scoops of the time and I'm thinking I might have the cut the hood for carb clearance. Plus I've always liked the cowl hoods

I think most of the younger generation will think its a mustang scoop

A bit of a suggestion, with respect.

1. Unless you have another "original hood" do not destroy that one.

Go like I did for the 63 Polara, a Super-Stock style hood.

On my 62 Plymouth wagon, I have 2 hoods. One has my 3.5" max wedge scoop and the other has the 4" cowl scoop . They both look good and the cowl scoop flows with the long roof style of the wagon, and great for Bonniville.

Ski; Man, it's OK to be different. If we all built the same cars, the same way, it would be a pretty boring world. As 'they' say, "variety is the spice of life". Go for it, charliesharp...
