Hi all,

Not too sure of the terminology but we're on the lookout for some replacement weatherstrip that fits in the wing vent window frame; the channel that the front edge of the door glass runs up and down in.

Had a look in the usual places - Metro, Kramers, Steele, Herb's... but cant see anything that fits the bill. Metro have some w'strip for the wing vent window frame but it's the soft trim that fits to the front, leading edge, that closes against the A pillar. The one we need is more rigid.

So has anyone else managed to find this trim anywhere?

I can post a pic of what we currently have if necessary but thought i'd try without first :icon_cool:

Thanks

Rob

Thanks, no I hadn't.

Just found his email address in the 'Welcome Wagon' so will drop him a line. Thanks

They are reproduced Joe has them

Hi Rob,

Kramer has it bought some for my last 63. It looks like seat belt material (in a roll) when you purchase it has to be folded & glued in place.

Thanks Billy (Dean?), I'll check with Kramers too :icon_thumleft:

Just a quick update...

Thanks for all the replies above. We went with Joe Suchy in the end and ordered the material for the vent window and also some to replace the trim on the leading edge of the rear quarter windows. And also the two little hard rubber pieces that fit at the top of the vent windows.

As we wanted the parts pretty quick, we asked Joe to send them using UPS, as it makes it much easier this end than if they had been handled by USPS (and our Post Office once over here).

Parts were shipped on the Weds and delivered to my door 2 days later on the Friday early afternoon. That's just outside London, England!

So a big thanks to Joe (& UPS) for their efforts!

I'll post up how the parts fitted in due course....
