63 Stage 2 Valve seats

Hello forum members,
I have a question that maybe can be anserwed by the group. I have a set of stage heads 286 castings that are in need of the installation of valve seat inserts. I happen to be a automotive machinist, but have never had to install seats in a stage head before. The casting seems to be a bit questionable thickness wise, in relation to the water jacket under the valve seat. I was wondering if any of you guys have ever installed or had seats installed in stage 1,2 or 3 heads. If so, are there any abnormal precautions you have to be aware of. Any tips or help would be of great appreciation, since I need to be able to use these heads for my 63 Dodge Ramcharger. Best Regards Maxie1.

No help on the seats, but how did you determine they’re stage II heads?
