64/64 console top plate colour

I picked up another top plate today as the chrome was much better than my old one. The black inserts needed to be redone so instead I thought I would try it in body colour. Anyone who thinks they might want to try it but not sure how it will look here you go.

Thanks, oddly enough I has some paint left over from a 56 Desoto I owned years ago which was a very close match...hint..never get rid of old paint.*g*

Gonna thro out a guess on the shifter being an aftermarket, b&m maybe. Whatever it is, I like it!!!!

The shifter is an old Hurst V Matic...fits just right after some heating and bending LOL
Both handles needed to be bent forward as the clear the console lid when put in low gear
