Did any 62-5 B body MORE doors ever come with buckets? Smitty Built buckets for Jeep cj5 are new and so inexpensive and upholstry work is so high for bench or anything, I am considering these low back A100 just about look a likes for my cruiser!
It is a 64 Bel I have all paint work done, great driver with poly 318, I like the car and like the fact I have little in it and also I can keep it as no one will give me poop for it if I wanted to thin the herd!
Opinions?????? No one will hurt my fragile (not) feelings!:thankyou:

It's your car, do anything you want to it to make you happy.

Side note- I much prefer a bucket seat to a bench seat anyway. . . . Even swapped out the bench seat in my 66 Chevy II and put in a set of leather Honda Prelude seats that I picked up on CL for $50 - love driving that car (it's also a more door) with those bucket seats in it.

Do what you want and drive it like you stole it - just have fun !

Cool car . . . Love it !

I don't think any of them ever did but I agree buckets are more comfortable.
Its your car so do what you want and I think it would look cool with a console added as well.

I know some manu.made a 4 door hardtop, at least in the 70s, Ford comes to mind.
I use these SmittyBuilt A100 style ( the back is fixed though) in my 64 Savoy project that is headed toward a super stock type build ( but it will get so before that).
I will not use modern seats in my old 60s Mpars, thats just me. It keeps the PB so NO console.
OR my question is if and when, and what models did Mother Mopar make a HARDTOP more door? Just curious!

I have a 1964 Dodge Polara 4-door hardtop with factory bucket seats and console. This was a Canadian-only Sport Package option, available on any Polara, even 4-door sedan since we did not have Polara 500's up here yet. I once owned a 1963 Dodge 440 (our top line Canadian Dodge for 1963, something like U.S. Polara) 4-door hardtop with factory buckets and glove box between the seats. These seats were meant for 4-door cars, since they did not fold ahead. I have also seen a 1962 Plymouth Fury 4-door hardtop with factory bucket seats and short glove box. I talked to the owner, and he said his father ordered it new. As I said, these are all Canadian cars.

I've seen 1970 and later 4 door police cars with factory bucket seats.

I've not personally seen any pre-1970 ones though, but that doesn't mean they didn't make them.

Another person I know has a 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite 4-door sedan with factory bucket seats and console with automatic floor shifter. I have posted pictures of my 1964 with bucket seats. Also note Plymouth dash and Fury-looking door panels since this is Canadian Dodge and they were built this way.

Dodge and Plymouth both offered 4-door hardtops 1962-1964 in Polara and Fury lines. This body style was dropped when B-bodies became Coronet and Satellite for 1965. In 1962 Dodge offered a 1-year-only Polara 500 4-door hardtop. Plymouth did not match this with a Sport Fury 4-door hardtop. My 1964 Dodge Polara 4-door hardtop is # 453 of 797 built in Canada.

Though Daves6T4 is the only early B I've seen. Back then you could order just about anything on the option sheet.
I did own a 68 Valiant 4 door with bucket seats. The seats didn't fold like the 2 door buckets either.
Barbee, I too have been looking at the Jeep seats.I know when I had these done it cost me $1100 for the front and rear seats to be redone. That was 5 years ago.

20+ years ago, I found original buckets for my '63 vert to drop the bench seat and also found a factory console. I had the console in for a while before selling it having thoughts to have a more useable console. Ended up getting a console out of a late 70's Lincoln with an idiot light bar. This allowed me to have cup holders (for my java addiction) and two more gauges. Rewired the light bar for brake lights, turn signals, and headlights. Using scrap aluminum machined the holders and gauge plate.

Bit later I wanted to have headrests mostly due to my doc telling me with my partial neck fusion...I wouldn't do well in a whiplash event. I searched for a good while for later mopar bucket seats - hard to find and the other issue was the seat pan width. The factory buckets were 'wide'. Looked at tons of buckets and all were a lot narrower and to me would look tiny. Got the idea to install headrests on the original seats finding later mopar rests and did that.

I did buy a set of SmittyBuilt CJ buckets. I have only sat in them since they are bolted in the Savoy project. I would love response from someone that has actually driven enough using them to voice their opinion. I only drive these old cars locally and never more than 30 minutes at a time.
I knew I had seen early B hardtops somewhere!!! I think they are pretty cool especially with buckets!

Barbee, What floor brackets did you use. Or should I say did it come with floor brackets ?

They do not come with any floor bracket. Some where somehow I had the measurements for super stock seats for the early B body. Gary Ball FB, Kramer, and someone else makes them. Remember the A body brackets are different than the early Bs. I made mine out of 16 ga but that needs a brake to bend. Not sure if 18 ga would be stout enough, even though they are made with braces on the insides. I did not bother doing the holes to lighten them, as I am not a racer. I think if you do a search for super stock seat seat brackets, here you will find a thread with measurements.

I have used the SmittyBilt Jeep CJ5 repop buckets on some other Mopars, Fixed backs, so very similar to A100 seats. I like them. Ordered a pair for the 64 Bel more door yesterday. (Every price I got around her was $1000 for the front bench done, new upholstry and padding ) They come in black but vinyl paint works so well. $320 delivered to my door for the pair! I already have some 1/8 plate from the last brackets I made. Maybe a little heavier than needed. I made fabbed a steel (out of 20 ga) low profile Hemi scoop a year or so ago when I did the same for a max wedge scoop. Trying to decide whether to add it to this more door or not! The hood was the usual hood that needed rust repair at nose and hood hinge area. I will get comparison pics with and without hood, but everyone knows what it will look like anyway!!!!
Just making what I call a cool (to me) toy.

barbee6043,May I ask who you ordered the seats from ?

I went to SmittyBilt site on puter and they have a 4 x 4 store. This is the 3 rd set I have order.
I am sure there are more expensive and maybe better seats that cost more $$$. They work for me.

Thanks, I didn't think they sold direct.
