Working on a 64 Dodge 2dr sedan, updating the car with a mild 440. This was a /6 car, manual brakes. I am building car for a customer and would like a safe brake setup that will be easy on time and budget, would like to go power drum or disc, adding dual res master cylinder. Would like to know what direction you went on your cars. All input welcome!

I went with the SSBC manual disc.I've seen 134 in the 1/4 stopping over 3800 lbs:blob1:

I used the 73 and up disc brakes for the front but went to the 12" rotors with 10x2.5 drum in the rear and it's power with a Wilwood mc.

I am using the stock power drum brakes. They stop it fine from 125 mph 1/4 mile blast. Ron

I went with 73 up single piston disc on the front with the original 10" rear drums and a dual reservoir master cylinder on my 65 coronet wagon and have never had an issue.

Speedway motors has a nice "factory" kit IIRC you can even buy spindles. Personally I wanted weight reduction so I went with the aftermarket Wilwood Pro-street kit, AREngineering master cylinder adapter and later model Dodge pickup master cylinder. Works great.

disc front and rear. retain emerengency brake it is not all mopar, think the rear calipers are off a trans am. i went this route on my 64 440. there is all mopar rigs , and if you have time/$ it is better to keep the car mopar 'imo' but there is something for getting everything in one box that you need with step by step instruction and a 800 for additional help http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-8-3-4...r:1964|Make:Dodge&hash=item4d099163a9&vxp=mtr

Here is an article on disc brake from A body and F body cars. There are other donor cars also.
