Jim, We did one on a 64 Coronet 440 series car.. it was originally a /6 3speed car, and we converted the K-frame to a V8 style.. with a 413 engine w/4sp, with the later model tranny, like you are wanting to do. We used the original 3sp trans crossmember, and modified the isolater location. This was a long time ago, so can't remember exactly. We may have used part of the original isolater pocket, or made something to look much like the original shape. Still in car, so must be ok. I am sorry.. but do not have any pics of the modification. Maybe this will help. Good luck on your project. Dodge33

This is the cross member out of my 64 4-speed car and will work with the 68 tranny. You will also need a speedometer cable from a 66 or 67 b-body to make this work.

Here are the pictures of the cross member and speedometer cable.

Jim, check out Brewster's Performance they have cross members, standard mounts and conversion mounts for early 62-65 b bodies using 66' and up 727's . Not use if you need a conversion mount for a 4 speed older than 70. Give them a call, they'll hook you up.

Dan, i'm putting a 1968 4 speed trans into my 64 dodge 2 dr sedan. it has a crossmember in it but missing the trans rubber mount.

Brewster's should have what you need. I just got a conversion mount to put a 66' and up 727 into a 64 with a 64' cross member. I don't know about the 4 speed but in 64' the cross member was the same for a three speed and an automatic. I'm pretty sure you can use your cross member , you just need to get the right mount , they'll have it.
