Hi, have a 64 Plymouth Fury Varable wiper
It has 2 pair of wires. 1- set with connector on end is
Red&Yellow. Other pair is Black & Blue
Does anyone know how. To bench test this motor
Thank You image.jpg

the black and dark blue is for the armature and gets a full 12VDC I believe.
The red & yellow are for the field connections and I think the voltage is varied through the wiper switch resistance.
Can you rig up your wiper switch to the motor?

No. Don't have a sw, Just want to hookup 12v to it to see if it moves. Mm

I'll give that a try. Let you know. Thanks

hey 300, I think you'l need to round up a wiper switch. Mine is the same as yours so I tested the switch.
It looks like the armature (black & Blue) has some resistance built into the switch to limit the current. The red & yellow wires for the field need voltage supplied from the switch but reduced by resistance to alter the speed.

Picked up a sw yesterday. Now just got to figure the diagram out.

Yes. Read the same as in my 65 Manual. Yellow to ground. Then Blue & yellow to positive ????? I'm I reading wrong. Sounds like a short to me
