I did new ones on my 65 Coronet by drilling the new WS to match the existing door panel staple holes. I used pliers to squeeze the supplied staples tight in lieu of a special stapler. It worked well but took some time. I found sitting at my picnic table with beer provided a fine work environment.

thanks mike sounds good I sometimes have a problem taking my time.

Get stainless staples, 3/8’s if I remember right, push them through the original holes and bend the ends over as tightly as possible.
