65 coronet brake issue

Hi, couldn’t see any posts where this specific issue had been seen.
I recently acquired a 1965 dodge coronet. It has discs all round and a stock booster.
It’s been absolutely fine until I went on a decent run today. I stopped at a supermarket and noticed a slight brake smell. When I returned after the shop I felt like it had lost servo assist. Very low pedal and I had to stand on them to get them to stop.
Nursed it home and the wheels felt hot. I noticed when in the garage, the brake lights were still on. I pulled the vac line off the servo and heard air escape so think the booster is getting vacuum.
Brakes all look in very good condition. I’m at a loss?

It could be any number of things. I would call Dr Diff aka Cass since he carries all the brake hardwares and is well experienced in such matters. I don't have his number, but it can be found on the net. Good luck.
 
If you just acquired it, was the brake work recently done by PO? What's the fluid level? Air in line? Any change in idle when applying brakes? As far as temp, I would use an infrared non-contact thermometer to get an exact number. Depending on many factors, brakes can feel warm/hot which may or may not be normal. If they are smoking then ya, too hot. If you can touch them without getting a burn, that's ok.
 
It sounds like they were applied and dragging.
The fluid reached boiling and now you have gas instead of liquid so the pedal gets soft and the car doesn't stop.
Could be someone combined a brake fluid with another incompatible substance causing all this.
Just an idea but I've seen it.
 
Hi. Waited for it to cool down, and started her up. Pedal doesn’t feel like I have any assist and once again the lights stayed on after I turned her off.

Is there an obvious smoking gun there?
 
This is just a shot in the dark. My 65 with 4 wheel discs I was sure the calipers were hanging up.
It was parking brake cables. Just spit ballin'.
