I just dropped my heater box out because the hoses, control cable, electrics and vacuum hose were not connected. Assuming the worst, I'm going to give it an overhaul. I've figured out where the electrics should be connected but can anyone help with these questions?
1. Where should the vacuum hose connect from the engine? I have a hose T'eed off the vacuum gauge from the brake booster but it's a different size. Can I take vacuum off the carb? What is standard fitment?
2. How can I test the actuators?
3. How can I test the control valve?
4. How can I pressure test the heater core?

Thanks
Les

the actuators can be tested with a mity vac vacuum pump. the heater core can be pressure tested with small sections of heater hose, a bolt to fit tightly inside heater hose and an air fitting. clamp one piece of heater hose to one side and cap off with the bolt and another clamp. clamp the other side with the left over heater hose with the air fitting. regulate the air pressure to about 20 psi and place the whole assembly in a 5 gal pail of water. watch for bubbles. could possibly check heater valve using same method as heater core.
