Sanitary and crisp! Black originally?

That is absolutely beautiful! I had a 65 Satellite, but the trim was different, especially on the tail. Also had a bench seat. Can someone school me on the different versions? This one reminds me of the R/T version of the Coronet.

You likely had a Belvedere II if it had bench seat. Satellites all had buckets and console.

Glad those parts worked out for you. Turned out great!

Add a 4-speed console and that's the car I am looking for!

A car almost exactly like this one started my love old (now old) Plymouths. As a kid, my family had a friend who bought a new 64 GTO. I loved that car, thought it was beautiful and decided in my mind that it would be my first car when I got older. Thought it was the coolest thing on wheels...until Steve Hendricks - our next door neighbours oldest son - got a new 65 Plymouth. It was a black on black Belvedere II 2 door hardtop with that gorgeous tapering C pillar. The car was 383 and 4 speed. I loved the look of it, and still do. Dad wasnt too impressed - he never was much for Mopars, but I became enamoured with them. Loved the look and believe it or not, the sound of the starter really 'flipped my switch'. BUT...the thing that really cemented Plymouths replacing GTOs as the coolest car around in my mind after awhile, was because every time Steve left the neighbourhood, his car 'peeled out'... Davids almost never did. Hence , to a 6 year olds logic, the Plymouth MUST be faster cause it always spun the tyres...

That's nice. I'd love to see more pics. I'm getting ready to drop a blown big block into my 65. That hat looks pretty low, injected?
Yes injectors are hidden in the hat, Jo Blo speed shop in AU. Or alky diggers. Its a low deck so I had to make the manifold..
