I picked up the paint yesterday. code aa1 gold poly. I'm using Du Pont chroma base and Nason's clear I have great luck with this combo. sent the die cast out for chrome today from the D/FW swap meet and should have it back in about 4 weeks. the big hurdle is the int. at @ $4000.00 but the 65 will be on the road this summer!!stainless is all done 3 days of polishing. just need to assemble it all. then it's on to a 64 fury convertible for full resto.

Good luck with it as I cant wait to see it also ! Ron

Sweet. I shot a buddys Harley bagger with the same base and clear about 8 years ago. Still looks good.

Good luck with the paint job. The only positive thing about my car being in the paint/body shop for 22 months is I have accumulated and paid for just about everything I need to complete the project. Powder coated seat frames, new Legendary foam and seatcovers, new door panels, new headliner, new carpet. I still have some stainless polishing to do but have accumulated all ding free pieces.

I should have it back in less than a month.

My first Mopar was in high school. I bought a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury in 1969. Really nice car with 38K miles on the clock, silver with black interior and top. 383/330 HP with four speed. I think I paid $825 for it. Car was a slow off the line lead sled, but would run a true 130 MPH top end. My family referred to it as the silver moneysucker. The money it sucked was chump change compared to my current 67 GTX!
