65 Satellite Info Requested

I hope I'm in the right place. Looking at a 65 Satellite coupe with these tags. It's badged as a 318. No rivets or srews in the VIN tag? Any thoughts?

Spot welded in. The way many came... 3 cents was 3 cents to save.

As stated above. Looks weird but is normal.

Local DMV put me thru the ringer on my 65 when I went to register it.
Thought I tagged it. Had to get several supervisors to look at it till one ok'ed it.
As dadsbee stated it is factory stamp welded.
