Anybody got a set of bucket seat tracks that would work in my 67 Coronet. I traded my bench for a set of buckets but he neglected to tell me the seat tracks were cheap aftermarkets with home made brackets.

Thanks, PM/reply if you have any for sale.

If you have to, you can use two sets of bench tracks.
They're a lot cheaper and a lot easier to find.

I ran mine for a while with one bench track and one 2/4 on each side.

I'd be interested in another set of bench seat brackets if anybody wants to part with those. I do have one set of those already.

Yeah! good luck finding the brkts.I've had no luck for over a year!

Here's another "if you have to" option...

I test fitted a 5th Ave 6 way power track on my 73/74 Charger buckets.

Fits like it was made for them.

Not 100% if the spacing is the same between the charger and the 66/67, but I plan on trying the 6 way tracks in the Coronet next.

That 87 5th is turning out to be a MUCH better parts car than I first thought.

Good to know. I may have to go that route. I mean these do have seat tracks on them they are just not the right ones. I may have to just make my own bracket for the pass side til I come up with another set.

Thanks but even if I didn't have another set pending here that would be way over my budget. But thanks much.

kb67mopar or moparsteve636 -

I have a set of 67 Charger bucket seats with seat tracks that I'd sell. The seats have been torn down (i.e., no covers and no foam). Both seat tracks have surface rust, but both slide easily.

I am currently waiting on a second set of bench tracks but if that doesn't work out I will let you know.

Are the bench tracks you're waiting for from a 2 door or a 4 door? They're slightly different from each other from what I've heard. Something to do with the angle of the seat tilt and I believe the 4 door version sits more upright.

I don't rightfully remember at this point. It does appear on my 4 door tracks that they are adjustable a bit....I will find out when they get here I guess. Price was right so no turning back now.

If necessary the tilt can be adjusted with shims between the floor and track to compensate for a difference between 2 and 4 door tracks.

If you want another set of 4 door tracks, I have some from a 67 belvedere 4 door that I don't need any more and could make you a great deal on. I'm not sure how you plan to get the lever switched to the outboard passengers side, but where there's a will there's a way.

PM me if interested.

Yeah I'll let ya know if i need em. I am not positive on how I will do that either. I may have to fabricate something. Thats the good thing about having a welder, anything is possible. I was working on the Drivers side last night. As an fyi, anybody interested in doing this, to use the factory seat bolt locations you will have to fabricate a seat frame to bolt the brackets and seat to since the spacing isn't quite perfect upon bolt up directly to the seat.

The height may be different between buckets and bench also. I think the bench tracks are about 2" lower. Your holes on the floor towards the center hump won't match with the factory holes either, and you should run a reinforcement plate on the holes toward the center. I'll take some measurements and pictures of the bench seat vs bucket tracks tonight and let you know what to expect.

I'm in the process of converting a 67 belvedere 4 door over to buckets and a four speed and just went through all the hassles of acquiring the parts. It can get expensive really quick.

Yeah photos would be handy, thanks. I am going to drill out the factory dimpled holes and bolt up the brackets, then fabricate a frame to mount the seat to the brackets provided that will work. I need to measure some of that and lay it out to see if that works. I know I definitely will add some reinforcing plates to the floor in those areas too.

Well I was wrong....the 4 door bench seat track tilts back a heck of a lot more than the bucket seat tracks. Here's the measurements for each seat track. They are taken from where the seat attaches to the track to where the bracket mounts to the floor.

4 door bench seat: 4.5" front, 2" back
Bucket outboard (door side): 5.25" front, 4.5" back
Bucket inboard (hump side): 4.25" front, 3.25" back

Looking from the front, the offset is as follows:
Bench: the seat to bracket bolt hole is 1" closer to the door than the the floor to bracket bolt hole.

Bucket outboard (door side): the seat to bracket hole is 1.75 closer to the door than the floor to bracket bolt hole.

Bucket inboard (hump side): the seat to bracket hole is directly in line with the floor to bracket hole.

Hope this makes sense. I've attached a couple pictures to help clarify....let me know if you need different pictures or measurements.

The first three pictures are a passenger side bucket and the last two are the 4 door bench.

Thanks a bunch, thats quite a bit different then the bench tracks. both of the bench tracks are offset and as you mentioned different height and rake. The nice thing is they actually have adjustments to adjust the slope. I'll try to get a few photos once I get back out there.
