Anyone know a good source for the orings that go on the heater core to seal the heater core and the firewall tubes? My universal oring kit orings are too fat or too thin. Also should they be oil resistant like an ac oring?

Any standard A/C o ring should work. (proper size of course) They should be the green colored ones.

These are for the heater core tubes for the coolant on A/C
cars only.

A standard o ring should work fine. Coolant only has 15# of pressure and 220° temps.

If you find any of the repop suppliers that sell them, it is a very slim chance they are made specifically for that application.

Thank you for the info. I should be able to use either an ac rated or standard oring if I can find one that fits.

when I got the complete a/c heaterbox rebuild kit from Detroit Muscle Technologies it came with them, but I have no idea if they'll sell them separately

I thought that "O" rings were sized by: outside dimensions (OD) X inside dimensions (ID) X cross section thickness X elastomer type....Viton, Teflon, etc and service extremes.........just my thoughts......
