I know it looks like I am doing this bass ackwards but I am just trying to get stuff done so I can put the interior and drivetrain back in the car so I can drive it. I painted the inner fenders with POR15 because it is tougher than paint and the car is going to be black anyway. Painting the interior metal so I can put the headliner and dash and windshield back in the car. I figure that I can do body work anytime so I am not messing with that area right now. JUST WANT TO ROW SOME GEARS !!!!!!

Cant blame ya for that! Good luck its looking good, hope you get some road time soon!

Lookin good. I am working on the same parts right now, the inner doors and those same back trim pieces. One other thing I can't seem to find is a set of window felts. I did order my weather stripping and door bumpers. Best price is classic industries and if you order em before the end of this month I can give you the 20% off discount code.

Nothing wrong with getting what you can done so you can enjoy it sooner.

NICE...thats all I can say.

Glad to see another post car saved.
That's 3 I know of on our board in restoration total...anybody else got one?

I've got a 66 Belvedere post car as well. Just picked it up this past november. It's a driver so I'm not tearing it apart, just going to log some miles!

Lookin good.

trunk pan.jpgSorry for no updates. Life took a big DETOUR at the end of last year and the car project got put on the back burner. Getting back on it now. Trying to finish up the last of the floor pan stuff. This is the trunk pan in the works.

metal repair

This AMD stuff is excellent. Got the quarter patch welded on. Should not take much body work. We'll see.qtr 3.jpg

I have a 66 Bel II hemi 4 spd car and I was going to do what you are doing in regard to getting it running it sooner than later. I call it restore it from the inside out. Do drivetrain, interior and all the detail work associated but leave the body for last.

I am still going to get it running as soon as possible but I need to finish up some areas I was already in to deep on. Quarter panel and trunk pan had already been removed and really needs to be there for support. Now I need to finish the dash so I can put the windshield back in. Motor and tranny are coming real soon.
Had a little setback but I am full throttle now.

Love the car. I've always wanted a 66 post car. Is the trunk extension made by amd? If not, where did you get it?
