'66 Hemi Charger rocker arms advice

Solid roller, morel black mamba roller lifters, cam motion low lift solid roller cam to my spec. PSi springs, ti retainers/locks.

I shift it at 7800. It's been together 5 years now. I used the stock reproduction rocker arms. Checked the valve lash once and it was out a couple thou.

Do as you wish but in my opinion I would 100% not use hydraulic roller lifters in a gen 2 hemi due to pushrod angularity and would only move from stock type rockers to aftermarket if over .700 lift. (again, just my opinion)
Thank you sir! This is the advice I've been seeking for my cam swap. Now I just need to get some help with the cam specs.

Cam thats in mine
Its still a solid lift, And Ive had people ask if its still solid lift with a big smile

It will idle just under 1000 rpm with no issues
In all honesty it sounds box stock .
Mine has a bump in compression ( guy that built it 25 years ago , thinks its in the 11.25 range )

And I drive mine A LOT

I go thru the valves about every 2 years
Just did intake reseal and valve seals spring of 2024

Im running stock rocker arms with zero issues

Yup, solids are a good choice, forces to to pull the covers & look around every couple years... The valve cover gaskets probably needed attention anyway... And on a Hemi with those small bolts holding the intake on a reseal is a good thing..

7800 with steel valves. You are brave.
