Hello YY1 and who ever else had the same question regarding the drivers side and trunk lid. I bought this car out of Boise Idaho from a fellow who started a restoration on this complete, all original 67. He said that he took off the trim, lights and other typical parts for a paint job and then proceeded to use paint remover on the area that you see thats stripped off. He mentioned that the trunk and tail panel trim had a crease/dent around the key/lock area and figured that another lid would be an easier fix. The factory color is the absolute beautiful Medium Copper which is still present on the rest of the car. I think what is real neat about this 67 is the fact that it has it's original big block 383 and a 4 barrel. Just under 2500 of these were made with this BB 4brl engine option. Another real cool option is the power windows. I really didn't think I would like this until i started using them and people were amazed that an old car had them and worked perfectly. I am in contact with the fellow I bought the car from as well as the original owner out of Idaho. I live in Casper Wyoming and on June of 2010 my family and I took the 500 on our summer vacation to Washington State and down through Idaho. We stopped to visit the original owner and then drove to Boise to meet up with the guy I bought it from and put it in a car show. We drove back to Casper via YellowStone National Park. What a great car to cruz in. I put in new interior pieces and cleaned the car up. Here are some more pics and the vin tag. PM me if your serious and want more info. Thanks, Steve
