Looking at a 67 r/t and wondering about what it maybe worth. It has been in storage for 25 yrs and is all numbers matching and needs no body work at all. It has the 440/375 hp, auto on the column, magnum 500 14 inch wheels and is bronze metallic with a black vinyl top. The interior is in great shape and the car has not been drove since the mid 80's but the engine does run and he cranks it every 2 or 3 months just don't want to pay too much for the car and any infor would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Pictures would help. In my opinion these cars are under valued to a point, they don't bring top dollar like some other BBodies.

What does the car need to get it the way you want it? Once you have that number subtract from what you'd be able to sell the car for after it's on the road. That will get you in the ball park for what the car is worth. That color is not a very desirable color and no console is a slight detractor. I personally like bronze and I like vinyl tops.

You also have to start where the seller feels the car value is. What is the asking price?

Without pictures I can't say but description would lead me to say no more than $13-15k.

I can get pics and it shouldn't take much to get it on the road and the paint is original the car is very sound and needs very little. I know the console would help and I don't see many that color I was thinking may have made it a little rare and don't know that I have every seen one with the black top but he is ask 25,000 so looks like he is high on the price because it is all original and in really good shape so I think I may just need to keep looking, thanks

The market will eventually catch up to that, just not today or tomorrow. I have a soft spot for 67 R/Ts, not many people do.

You saw the very nice one here on the forum for sale for $28.5. It's not exactly flying off the shelf. I think if your patience you'll find a good car for a good price. If you think the car is worth $25 then someone else might too.

Check Mecum's website for past auctions, it a good indicator of values. Just add 10% for your 'out the door' price. Auction results go back pretty far.

Without pictures, it's difficult to say. If it's minty, complete, and all original....I'd say he's in the ballpark. If you're not sure....find an impartial member with knowledge to look at it with you.

Going off what you have posted I would say he is high. I have a 67 R/T 440 4 speed dana currently. I have had six 67 R/T's. Four speed cars bring more money any day than auto's. Keep in mind repo parts are few and far between and alot of 66 parts work but are not correct for 67's. Pics are always helpful on posts like this. Good luck with a decision

there were two bronzes in 67 a lighter medium bronze and "turbine" bronze.

Turbine bronze is VERY desirable.

What other options?
