Are 68 and 69 the same seat, other then the covers over them?

The seat frames are the same for the two years as I recall. The 68 and early 69 seats did not have the head rest as standard equipment but the frames still had the framework installed for the headrest. If purchasing seats, make sure that the seat attaching brackets and hardware are in place. Little items like the seat adjuster springs and seat back knobs can get expensive when having to source these items.
