On my 70 Bee my release handle for the emergency brake does not return so am I missing a spring? Pedal comes up no problem but I have to pull up the handle . A pic would help. thanks Dave

Just google images. Plenty to look at.

Don’t have a pic handy but yes there is a coil spring on the rod for the release handle. If memory serves there’s a plastic grommet of sorts in front of the spring to allow it to load up when the handle is pulled two tabs on the release rod on the rear. the grommet will fail and allow the spring to slide though the release handle support hole and it loses the return tension. Click this link and look at the pics.

Thanks, dam Im old had to get magnifying glass out for that.

Is the spring on the pull handle rod. Not hard to check.

There are black electrical grommet’s used by electricians. They are two piece and work perfectly to replace the broken spring stopper. I did it in our car about 2006. Didn’t have to take the mechanism out.
