hi guys wondering if you guys can help me, I’m in the middle of a 68 Dodge charger resto mod that I took over from a previous owner. The interior is completely gone except for two front seats from looks like a 2008-2010.challenger, the problem I’m having is that I’m 6’1” , and when I go sit in the car, my head is hitting though roof line trying to get in and out. I’m pretty sure these seats sit higher than the factory seats., I’ve been trying to do some research and find sheets for another vehicle that would fit good in the charger, but sit a little lower to assist me getting in and out easier. Does anyone know of any other vehicles I can get seats from?? and unfortunately no I do not like the factory seats, I am looking to do a custom modern interior, but also would like to have the ability to use the company, katskins on any seat that I get, I have looked at aftermarket seats specifically for the Charger, but unfortunately, Katzkin does not make anything for them, the reason I’m saying this is because my upholstery shop that will be doing all the custom work especially to the backseat told me it would be at least $1000to $2000 cheaper going this way

I have 2020 challenger seats in mine and they are just over 10” high at the cushion. I sit right about where I did with the factory seats.

Measure your floor to cushion height. I have (in MD) seats from my 05 Magnum RT, in that pale gray leather. Perfect shape, power, heated. Car was t boned at 36k miles and I kept lots of it "just in case". I can measure mine when I get home in a month or so if you want, and see if they're any lower.

Check out ProCar/Scat Elite seats
I have them in my 68 RR
I have a tall torso & 6'2" I have great headroom now
nice bolsters & adj. back & headrests

I paid about $750 total but it was some time ago
probably more now, but well worth every dime

Find somebody parting out a 2004-2006 GTO, they have really nice comfortable leather racing style seats. They sit pretty low too.

I have Procar by SCAT front bucket seats and floor brackets in my 69 Coronet. They sell the material to cover the back seat if you want them to match perfectly.

ProCar Scat Sportsman seats in my '70 Charger. I even made drilled steel plates to bolt the existing seat holes to my existing bucket seat tracks. I haven't sat in my car in 15+ years so I can't tell if they sit high or low, but I'm thinking maybe the Scat seats are an inch or so higher than the original seats...but maybe it's just because the leading edges are angled up more than the stock seats.

Those seats look like they belong in that car. Can you tell me about the shoulder harness seat belt you used?
The ones pictured did not retract well. So, I cannot recommend them. However, the ones I have now mount further back into the floor and are special order from Seatbelt Planet in Edmond, OK.

2019 Hellcat seats work good and I’m 5’10, a couple of inches were taken of the top to get them closer to the window height.

FYI those rally seats barely lean forward due to the extreme seat and side bolster interference.

Maybe you could build some custom pedestals? Some 2x3 rectangular tube taper front to back with your preferred lean back.
I just mounted these PT Cruiser convertible seats to factory pedestals. I’m 6’2” and can put a hand between head and head liner. My arm seems about level to slightly lower at elbow with window down.
I looked Katskinz makes covers for them and later gen challengers. You mentioned Charger seats they wont lean ahead to allow rear seat access.

I used Chrysler 200 convertible seats. Cut the original brackets off the rails and made my own mounting brackets.

Integrated seat belts. I tied the seat rails together at the rearmost position and anchored through the subframe connectors and modified the seats to take stock head rests.

that bracket that is supplied, did it work ok?
It depends on the vehicle. But many people complain about the stud alignment with the holes in the floor, including me on the passenger side. My car had replacement floor pans and factory bucket seats. So, you'd think the studs would be in the same place on the new brackets.
