gotta love the ol 2x4 seat mounts they even painted them black
one thing i am concerned about is i ground off all the bondo on the
on the top part of the quarter it must have been a older quarter replace
the wheel wheel is a bit smacked up also
since it was braised i am gonna assume it was very old repair
i was thinking about cutting it all out and repairing it but it looks look they did a good job a bit warped up from the heat and had alot of filler but i can
pound some of it out my new quarters dont go up the hight
i cut out a hold to take a look and it looks good

got a start on the frame connectors tonight use 2x3 1/8
cut the floor got one side tacked in
so far i got 25$ into the steel
20$ into the cleaner to get the glue off the roof from the top
so far 45$ into it

Jess Before you weld check that your Level left too right and put a little lift under that motor.

Pics look good , that 2 by 3 tubing added a bit of work to the floor pan but youll be ok
you should consider welding a 6" by 3" flat plate of 10 or 8 gauge at the front of the subframe across the crossmember just to beef up that area. then on the front side of the subframe tie it in diagonally to the front framerail. as shown in the pics i sent you.
Leave the car on th stands and tack up the rest of the lap joints on your frame and weld in a brace in the steering gear mount. weld lower control arm plates and stich any floor seams that are clean,
Nows the chance to weld in a set of Torque boxes front and rear.

Get it buttoned up nice.

lookin good! like others said, don't get discouraged. you'll want/need a break once in a while...if you're lucky it'll happen just as the $$ runs out. Love the Coronets a much as the runners. got a color in mind yet(green....)

Well thats what they make flap disc's for, lol. You can smooth them out . And i'm sure the factory welds aren't much better looking. Good fabricating my man.

p.s. I vote rally red "low gloss" or silver metallic "glossy".:sunny:

One of the things I like to do on a car that I'm going to abuse is weld up ALL the factory body seams including the K frame and frame rails.
