That one threw me for a moment a 273 in 68, but they did small block were 273, 318 and 340. Sounds like it would be a real economical cruise combination. I have seen original hemi bench seat automatic on the column cars kind of a cool combination and not what one expect.
You are correct BostonElfjr.
It is a post car.
It needs a lot of work. The owner says he has all the parts to restore the car.
Rear quarters, trunk floor and extentions, the entire floor pans, for example.
The doors are in good shape as well as the trunk lid and front quarters
Needs complete interior and paint.
The best thing is the 273 fired right up and ran good.
I think I'm going to pass on this one.
I did all of this when I restored my R/T.
And I know the years it took and the cost
I guess I'm getting old. LOL
I can understand why you'd want to pass on it, it not being a high dollar car and needing a lot of work, but I'd sure like to see it restored or restified. Here's a photo of my Deluxe and I've become quite fond of it.

Are you sure you won't reconsider? Someone needs to save that poor old Deluxe!
That is a gorgeous coronet. Love the color combination.
Thanks guys. It's turned out to be a fun car.
Since I bought it a year and a half ago I upgraded to .920 T-bars in front, and XHD leaf springs in the rear, then added Firm Feel Anti-sway bars front and rear, and replaced the stock 318 2 barrel engine with a warmed up 360, among other things. It's actually a car you can drive now, if you know what I mean. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
Thats a gorgeous coronet. Love the color combination. You can say that again!!!
That is a gorgeous coronet. Love the color combination.

Hey, at least you have it! Hang in there, and one day you'll be cruising down the road in it.
