I introduce to you my 68 Coronet with a 318. It's my first classic so I'm learning a lot by dealing with issues as they're discovered. I've been reading over the forum trying to pre-learn some things so I'm not in as much shock as problems arise. These things sure are a money pit! My bride-to-be as nicknamed it the poronet (poor-o-net). I've had the bumpers rechromed, put in a new interior, including a rallye dash because the standard dash was hacked to pieces by a PO that tried to make the rallye cluster fit. The engine has been cleaned up. It still makes some funny noises, but fires right up. On my to do list I have a disc brake conversion, instal an exhaust system, and make sure all exterior lights are working. Here's some Before and Current pics

hey Doug, welcome to FBBO from another 818 guy:headbang: you really did a fine job on the engine and interior. love them slotted mags too

welcome to FBBO

Thanks guys. I'm headed to the DMV on Friday to straighten out my registration and get on the road. Can't wait. I'll start with some around the block trips until it's tuned up and fully road ready.

Registration is going to take another 8 weeks. I have to jump through a bunch of hoops because my registration was suspended for no insurance before I got it on Non-Operational status. Gives me plenty of time to keep wrenching and get it road ready.

Welcome from Minnesota and keep up the good work.

Hi Doug,
Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the Forum.

Nice car, looking great!
I'm "up-here" at Edwards AFB.
