I installed a new 526 Indy Crate Hemi replacing my old 440 in a 68' Coronet B Body this weekend. The valve cover is now hitting the 9" round Brake Booster and I can't use it....any suggesting on a solution to work around and keep some type of a brake booster in the car? Thank you for your help.Grant

ran into the same problem on my `69 hemi gtx with a ray barton 528. finally took the booster off and went back with the larger resivoir. wooks ok for me,patti

I have seen what could be described as "longer narrower' boosters. They are not as big in diameter. Don't know the brand name but they are out there. You would have to study them to see if one would work in your situation.

You can install a hemi brake booster bracket, raises the booster just enough.

Or install a hydroboost system, runs off your power steering pump if so equipped.
