I just bought a fan shroud for my 68 Roadrunner from Classic industries. It’s only 1 1/2” wide at the top, barely covers the fan blade. Has anyone modified one, added some width to the top surface?

Well disregard my above post.I noticed that mine was kind of thin at the top, 2 inches.
Shroud came with the car but not sure if it’s original for a 68 Charger with a 440.
Which one did you buy?Well disregard my above post.
I went looking at why my shroud has a gap making it thinner at the top. Looks like previous owner trimmed the top for some reason.
Are you using a 2898045 core? If so, from what I'm seeing all 440 cars used the 2 piece metal shroud, 2417423 and 2417427 upper and lower respectively. However, a shroud was only used on 383 cars if a/c or hd cores were used.I have a 22 inch radiator. I bought an OER two piece shroud from Classic Industries, supposed to be like factory original. Like I said it’s only an inch and a half wide at the top. I just ordered a universal 3 inch wide shroud from Speedway Motors to see if that’ll work better. I have 90 days to return the one to Classic.
