68 roadrunner headlight bezels

the outer lower screw that holds the bezel on....what do you screw them to? am I missing a bracket of some sort?

I believe it's a long white plastic standoff piece. One on each side.

Same here, I was at HAN in Reno and guy was nice enough to pull his bezel for me. It is an L type bracket that bolts to the threaded hole on the fender. He fabbed his and so did I. Have never seen one in a parts book or manual. Dave Wises book neither. I drilled a 1/4 hole and used a plastic insert like a license plate insert only smaller.

The top one is about an inch long white plastic cylinder that pushes into a square hole but the bottom one is... I don't remember . Thanks

my car had been wrecked back in the seventy's so I suppose the little brackets went by the way-side back then. Its funny, I dont ever recall seeing any kind of bracket at all....ever.
so likely shares the hole that the lower grill panel attaches to...
