What is the exact width and location of the side horizontal pin stripe in relation to the top of the fender, quarter and door belt lines? I know there were five color options. Thanks in advance.

I dont think 68 had a side stripe but the 69 has one like this

There were a lot of stripe options across the entire line up in '68. I think most were pin stripes that were painted on. But the wide "decal" stripe, shown above came out in '69.

My 68 roadrunner (project car) has its original fender tag and apparently has the accent stripe option. So I was trying to research this awhile back. Apparently "accent stripes" and "sport stripes" are NOT the same thing. It might be that accent stripes were available in 68, and both accent and sport stripes were available in 69. But don't quote me, I'm a mopar NOOB. My understanding is that accent stripes are thin painted lines applied on the assembly line. Sport stripes may be thicker reflective stickers.

If found this to be helpful from a "sister" site -

Help with pin stripe location

Hopefully the link works - cheers.

Thank you very much!!

Find the original Hot Rod Magazine test with Ronnie Sox driving the 68 Runner, that car has the pinstripe.

On the bottom of page three it gives you all the fender tag sport/accent strip options

Yes! I didn't even know that some of these cars came with stripes until I started looking closely at the fender tag. Here is an older thread that mostly relates to the 1969's but there are a couple of pictures of 1968 cars also.
