69 buddy seat frame

just got my first b body. it has a buddy seat. question can you remove the middle section to create two bucket seats. so that i could install a center console or floor shifter

The seat unbolts from the brackets easily enough but you'll have to remove the brackets themselves from the center tunnel. Do it carefully without wrecking them and you'll find people on here willing to buy them.
