like the title says, are all of the 500s supposed to have the scoops or can they have the flat hood?

Pretty sure 500's like 440's all had flat hoods.
Scoops or power bulge were on R/T - Super Bees only.
Edit-
AI is saying if you checked the right boxes when ordering a 500 you could get a power bulge hood.
No idea if that is correct or not...

AI sucks

None of the 500's had a scooped hood.
Can't get a hood option on a Coronet 440 or 500 model. It is a flat hood only.
Same with rally dash.

Dealer Data Book 1969 coronet below see N96 hood

It wouldn’t surprise me if a few cars had them dealer installed. The hood anyway.

Last year for Hemi on non-R/T Coronet was 1967.

So far, no later ones have turned up.

I personally know of one '68 Coronet 500 383-4bbl 4-speed car that had a hood with the twin scoop non air-grabber hood. The car was white with a black bucket seat interior.

The owner was a high school classmate of mine back in Iowa in '75, and I helped him to rebuild his engine.

I know who bought the car brand new, and I knew who the second owner was before my classmate bought it.

Were the twin scoops even avail on ANY 68 Coronet?
I was thinking that 69 was first year for them?

BUT, I could be wrong

I believe there is at least one Hemi Coronet 440 known to exist , I cant remember if its a 68 or 69
There are two 1968 coronet 440 sedans with factory installed hemis. And the hoods are flat.
