I'm replacing the headlight harness that's in very poor condition on my 69 Coronet. I have a few questions.

1. The car is a September 68 build. The old harness, which I have no reason to believe isn't original, seems to look more like a 68 harness than a 69. It's got the plugs for side marker lights (wrapped in tape) and the two ground wires tied together on the driver side. The 69s I've seen have one ground on each side.

2. The wires for the front turn signals go through a hole in the core support with some sort of sealant around the hole. Picture attached. Is this the way the factory did it?

3. It doesn't look like the reproductions have the rubber grommet shown in the pictures that go in the hole beneath the outboard headlight. The grommet is not transferrable without cutting and splicing wires. Anybody else ran into this?

4. Is there a trick to getting the wiring harness through the hole mentioned above? Getting the old one one out was nearly impossible without way more force than I'm wanting to put on the new harness. I've already got the lights and buckets removed.

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any help.
