Ok I'm hunting for the needle in a haystack. Since I'm gonna yank the engine out of the RT to paint under the hood I might as well try to find one. 69 HP block and rotating assembly would be bare minimum. If I don't find one it will be OK just thought I would try.
Thanks Roger

I guess I need to clarify, E 440 HP is what I'm searching for.
Thanks

I have a 440 HP block from a 1969 Charger R/T. It was a 4-speed/Dana car, I believe. The VIN is XS29L9B186529 as far as I can tell. It's a little rough with a missing starter ear and some cylinder wall dings. Looks like an 8/15/68 casting date. The crankshaft should be around here somewhere too.

Thank you sir, I don't want to sound ungrateful. But I will keep searching.

I have this one... problem is I'm just south of buffalo NY. Block is standard bore and should bore for .030. block has been baked, blasted, and magged.... guaranteed no cracks. Also have matching steel crank that should go .010-.010...matching heads and balancer, timing cover etc

Did you find a block yet ?
No, I decided to just use the one I had. Then found out it's not really good enough to use, found another 78 block and have it at the machine shop waiting on it.

I have a few to choose from -
A 69 HP block and a 66 block from an Imperial

Well I certainly appreciate the offer I think for now I'm just going to run with what I have. Thanks
The late blocks, ‘75-‘78 are the best 440 cores. Thicker motor mount ears, and figure eight cooling passages.
