that is a posi, it must be slipping or something wrong with it but very rebuildable, thought u may want to know.

Why do you think their is something wrong with the sure grip? I'd be interested in it if it is not broken. I live in central md so pick up would not be a issue.

That thing looks great and I wish it was within my penny range or that it wasn't too much gear for me. Good luck with sale.

Will you be taking your RR out this weekend?

I did! How about you? How are your new gears treating you?

I've been trying to figure out whats been robbing my newly implanted power plant of, well, power. But, she's at least back on the road and this weather has been downright amazing!

There’s been some confusion on whether this 411 is posi, it’s not.
I went out today and took another look; without question (again) it’s not.
If you're interested in purchasing it please call me, I’m not shipping pickup only.
Thanks

That should be a clutch type SureGrip unit. If it is not working, it needs a clutch kit. An open diff does not have any bolts that holds the case halves together as it is a one piece design. That one has the ring gear bolts on the left side and the case bolts on the right. Why do you say it's not a posi. Actually, you're right. A Positrac is a GM name and SureGrip is Mopar's. :D

cranky said it all.. its a suregrip unit no doubt, just rebuild it with new parts from mopar, and go chevy hunting!!

Would you be willing to ship it to the Houston area? 77505. They are about 80 lbs. Some folks put them in a 5 gallon pail but I like to build a 3/4" plywood box and screw it all together good and tight.
