Howdy, can someone tell me if these upper door panels are the right ones for a coupe?

They don’t seem to be tall enough to hide the inside lip of the quarter panel when viewed from the inside. The photo below isn’t real clear but if enlarged a little the dull red overspray from the inside lip of the quarter panel can be seen.

If they are correct am I missing some weatherstripping or trim that hides the gap?

Thank you for your response; my first post apparently wasn’t clearly worded.

My concern is there is a gap between the top of the upper door panel (the painted metal piece that is screwed in place above the vinyl door panel) and the bottom of the pop-out rear side glass. From inside the car I can see the right into the inside of the quarter panel.

A coupe (post car) has pop-out rear side glass. I know they use a different upper rear door panel than a hardtop, but my question is: are mine correct?

Can someone with a coupe tell me whether or not they can see into the inside of the quarter panel like my picture depicts?

I have mine out, put one in to look at it. Only see the rubber weatherstrip around the window. It's close, but can not see through like yours.

There are two possible choices for mounting holes in mine. Mine were mounted in the lower round hole. The slotted hole is higher. Not sure if my round hole is orginal. Maybe you will have to relocate your holes or if you have them, move up to the slotted hole?

Bird426: your picture is what I would expect my car to look like. I’ll verify the mounting hole location. If it’s correct, then I’ll be on the lookout for the correct upper door panels.

Thank you!

We never know what we have. My car is an old race car, they cut out everything below those holes, you can see in the last picture. I have renewed the pop out window with the kit from DMT. That pop out window moves up and down when being mounted, front and rear. It's a turd to seal it up, I had to get real creative. They must have been a real water leaker from the factory. No one knew, it just drained out of the rocker panel below it, till it rusted out! That top inner panel in mine has about 10 rust holes in it, just haven't gotten around to repairing it, that's why they aren't painted and in the car. One of these days the repair list will get completed and I can drive it. Have never done that yet.
Good luck!
