69 RR date question (holley)

Good morning! Wondering if anyone has the data or a link as to the date codes on the holley on the 383 ac cars. My buildsheet has a date of 11/24/68. I assume perhaps I should check date code of engine to see how far away they are. It is numbers matching but I have 3 holleys and want to get closest. Would it be closest to the date tag on the dizzy? Carbs stamped with yr mo wk

What is the build date of your engine? I would assume you would want it a month or 2 before that?

Ok cool. I’ll have to get back out to the car and see. For fun I’ll get the pan rail, dizzy block and casting. I’ve got to get this girl out and listed before I bring the road runner home

A 69 road runner 383 comes with a Carter AVS, not a Holley.

You have the broadcast sheet so look up what carb it came with.

It came with 38. Number 4440 Holley 4160. Listed on the second image you posted. Thank you!
I was under the impression the carb bodies were date coded all the way down to the week from a search I did on Holley codes is all

247th day of 1968 Dom. (Sept 4). (Or 78, 88, 98. 68 is 100% more likely however).
And 69 runners came with both carters and holleys, four barrels and two barrels (three). But you knew that....
