Hi all,

In the ongoing saga of this new-to-me Bee, I'm continuing to find little things that need attention. It's going pretty well but one issue i had is the PO ordered the incorrect dash wiring harness. So I ordered the correct one from M&H and have most of the dash reconnected. However, I noticed that the oil and temp seem to be flipped. While the engine is running, the "temp" creeps up to about where 80 PSI would be on the oil gauge and when I kill the ignition, all gauges drop to 0, then I turn the key to "run" (engine off) and the oil pressure gauge rises to about where 150* is on the temp gauge. Under the hood, the wiring looks correct at the temp sender with the original connector and at the oil pressure sender, there is the little wire that goes from it, about 5" up into the harness. The only thing I can think of is that either MH flipped those wires by mistake or they may have gotten flipped in the bulkhead connector. At any rate, rather than go through a lot of drama, I should be able to just flip these wires at the plug behind the Rallye gauge console, correct? Anything I'm missing?

Thanks,
Mikey

Check the color codes and location of said in the bulkhead connector.

Thanks. Yup, did that. Turns out the wires were flipped in the flat plug that runs the Rallye gauges. So I just took a little pick and pushed both out and flipped them. Good to go there. Issue number 742 corrected.

Question on the Rallye bulbs - in my 4 small gauges for fuel, oil, temp, and alternator, my bulb color is red. And they're the kind of bulbs that twist in with no connecting wire; the bulb is in the twist-in socket (I think). I'm familiar with that type of socket but I've never seen the bulb type before. Not a typical glass bulb but kind of flat and square. I don't know if they're LED; they're not very bright. Anyone have any familiarity with these bulbs?

Edit: They're red LEDs. I just found the same ones online. Who knew? Obviously, not I.

Also, Can someone please tell me the correct bulb numbers for the turn signals, speedo and clock? And now that I'm thinking about it, the 4 small gauges? I looked in the owners manual and it was incorrect. I will check the FSM when I get home.

Thanks,
Mikey
