'70 Charger R/T from GraveYard Carz?

Looks like the big concrete mixer was deployed on the rebuild :head_smack:

From what I can see, the car was an insurance wreck and Worman put it back together. It wasn't a full restoration, what's the problem?

For what it's worth, here's my 2 cents. The car really was returned in one complete driveable piece, but with some pretty crappy worksmanship from what I've seen on that facebook group. The huge trunk gap and his statement that the car is about an inch wider on one quarter than the other says to me there wasn't much effort put into the "repair" (how long does it take to test fit panels before welding?).

I've heard people in defense of gyc say that Mark was trying to "do this guy a favor" by agreeing to do the repair on the cheap, but imo even if that's true the job shouldn't have been taken on unless they were willing to give it 100%. And I don't care if it was some underling mouth-breather that performed the shoddy work, in the end Mark is responsible for the condition a car leaves his shop. He should have seen all the issues, and if he didn't, what's he doing owning a body shop/ restoration business? Lol. Again, it's my thought that if you're not willing to do the job 100% to the best quality you can, don't take it on in the first place.

Must have really agreed to do it on the cheap, skimping on a $10 tube of seam sealer.. :head_smack:

Pretty weird description on the craislist ad though, like it was copy/pasted from wikipedia or something. Pretty sure those aren't 245/60's on 14" wheels lol and no mention of the accident or damage. Weird stuff all the way around in this one.

"I never once denied that my collision shop fell short of the line on quality control. The paint has many issues that need addressed. Some welds are missing in various areas that need to be attention. The body man who did the job was not a Mopar guy and made multiple mistakes on the reassembly. (The body man was fired the same day as Wilson notified me of the issues) I openly admit this and have from the beginning."

No problem I can think of if you except crap work.

I wonder how many critics had or have their own business, especially auto. Mark's mistake was taking the job in the first place. A POS customer that only wants to pay on the cheap is the first one to stab you in the back.

Is this the car in question ??

wasn't this on a recent episode
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lEvbrnSlM4

Mark kept saying to Darren "it was a collision repair only", he went on & talked about what all was wrong &
that he was allegedly "only paid/contracted to do certain repairs, not a full on restoration"

I couldn't find the full episode, I'm not sure & don't quote me, but I think "allegedly" that's the same car...

I tried to watch graveyard cars, I really did. I love the MoPars on there.. but I just can't get past Worman. He is such a douchey tool-bag worm of a man. It's a mystery how he gets anyone to work with or for him.

Too bad there really isn't a great MoPar specific show out there.

I don't understand something. If that's the car in the video then they replaced the whole back of the car. How could they repair and replace the entire back of the car and not get it right. Am I missing something.

You are correct, budnicks. They did show that car on a recent episode. Mark went out of his way to explain to the viewing audience all of the things that were not correct with the car and how he "donated" some of his own used parts to the car. I think he said it had a truck rear end or something, so he gave the guy a rear end he had. And did a lot of extra work as well.
It seemed like warman was trying to clear his name as he went over the car in detail.

take this for what its worth ...the craigslist AD .....the car has been Repo'd .....Rex stopped making payments pretty much when the car went to GYC hence the big try to extort more money

Exactly It was repossessed because Rex stopped making his payments....about 8 months ago I 've heard.
