Hi Guys
Been waiting for a B Body specific site, thanks Joey!
I am way deep in swapping everything I can from a wrecked 07 Charger R/T into a 70 GTX.
5.7 ,w5a580 transmission,all computers,seats,disc brakes(no anti-lock) hell,the donor car even has a satellite radio.
I got the donor car from Copart, an on line auction firm that primarily sells insurance totalled vehicles. I paid about a 1000 less for the entire car than I could buy a crate 5.7 for!
I will be able to part out the R/T when I am done with it, lots of body parts good not to mention two undeployed air bags.
Here are a few pics to date. I will keep this thread updated as I make progress.
This is the donor car

Have fun with your swap man... I am doing a similar swap currently into my 68 Charger.... except I am using a 6.1L Hemi with a 5-speed manual.

If you have any questions I have done much research on the topic so feel free to ask and i'll help any way I can

I got the car back from the stripper and I pretty much need to replace EVERY panel and the front frame rails as well as 3 of the 4 door posts.
The search is on for the parst and I have located many but still need hood,trunk,1/4s and fenders.
I have the cowl removed (rusted out window lip) and basically just drilling spot welds and waiting on parts for now.
This will obviously set me back and cost way more than I wanted but that is name of this game I suppose.
At least I get to work on it consistently. Pretty much every Thurs and FRi all day and any other weekday I can leave my business in the hands of my employees.
I'm in for the long haul so I am trying to be patient!

Thanks for the offer Alex.
I'm sure we will have plenty of questions when it comes to the computers!

Darius - AMD has the hood, trunk pan, 1/4 panels, and fenders. The only part That don't make right now is the Trunk Lid - however you can find then on E-bay quite often.

Yep, you got a whole lot of ugly to lose there.
Sounds to me like its in the right hands now.

I saw a program on Speed this week where they cut up a 68 Charger and an SRT-8, and set the 68 body on what was left of the SRT after cutting away all the external body. They didn't show much of the inside when done, but the whole thing was pretty slick.

except for what it cost to do all that..........YIKES

friend of mine is dropping a 68 charger body over a SRT-8 Magnum floor in a similar fashion... cool idea - but ALOT of work.
