I recently acquired an A230 3 spd trans from a 70RR with a bench seat, the shifter & all linkage is present but no shifter handle, Im curious about what the handle looks like anyone have a picture of one.
 
Here’s a pic of my 3 speed, no idea if it’s original, the grip definitely isn’t. I assumed it was originally a black ball like the A bodies.

I know that 3 speeds became standard in 1970, but I believe 3 speed Road Runners are fairly rare. My guess it was a way for Chrysler to increase the profit by making the 4 speed optional, and since most wanted a 4 speed, that would increase the 'real' price while keeping the base MSRP low.
 
got a handle off ebay the guy had it listed as an A body handle.
