Hi
Finally getting to the task of installing these body plugs into the new AMD floor pans.
The larger plugs went in pretty well but now I’m trying the smaller 1” plugs.
Can’t get them pushed in.
The holes measure around 0.980 and the plugs around 1.175.
Any tricks or advice is much appreciated.
I had the same issue on my 68, I opened up the holes with a drum sander attachment for my die grinder. I measured the new plugs and compared them to the old ones using a dial caliper and opened the holes accordingly.
Dab of pure dawn, big dead blow hammer, little blood and some choice words and the plugs are in.
They went without modification but you have to swing on them hard.
I just pretended the plug was the guy that invented them and swung away.
Thanks for all the replies.
Dennis
