70 RR rear seat frame question.

hi,
Got my 70 RR rear seats stripped down and getting ready to be powder coated.
The front, top edge of the rear seat bottom has 2 downwards curves where you would sit. Were these bowed originally or just sagged from 55 years of use. I tried to circle the area in this picture but it didn’t come out too well.
Just wanted to know if I should straighten them before coating and upholstery.

Well, I just happen to have the bare seat frames for my 70 GTX laying around.

I would think the front lower rail is supposed to be fairly flat where it lays across the floor widthwise. The drivers' side on mine is bent upwards a little more than the passenger side. The two outboard rails than run lengthwise are flat on the ground. the two center rails are about 1 1/4" off the ground.

It's not usual for rear seat frames to get bent when someone tries to remove the rear seats without unlatching the frame from the body brackets. I had to straighten the top frame on the rear seat back where someone pulled on the center of the seat before lifting the frame off the body brackets.

I think my frame is pretty straight I’m concerned with the part that would hit the back of your knee while sitting on it.
Yours looks straighter than mine. Kinda hard to see in the picture.

Here's a couple more pictures of the frame. Your bottom rail, at the floor, is bent up in the center, on each side of the tunnel, where mine is flat.

The top edge, which would be behind your knee, dips down in the center area where you would be sitting.
