Drums are fine if you know how to upgrade them. Get biggers slaves for a truck and a set of really nice shoes full ceramic. And she will stop just fine..
The funny thing is that I have all the stuff to do front disc brakes. I just really wanted to redo the drum and see how it would stop because I have ever gotten to drive a big block car with drums all the way round. And so far I am very pleaced with the drums and they can stay a little long.
Wow. She's GORGEOUS. Living up here in the rust belt, I can only dream of cars in that state of repairs. I've got my '74 Satellite Custom off at the body shop for the winter, and like I said, got this wagon's spittin' image '72 up on jack stands in the garage. If I can find some way to get heat out there this winter, I hope to be able to turn a few wrenches...
Thanks man, I did get lucky, with almost no rust. I know what you mean about winter to, I'm just glad it has not starting getting cold here yet. It is still high 60s and sunny.
Nope no jack stands this year. But I did get a set of rallys for it, and progess is coming a long its going in next week to have the exhaust done. And then I'm going to start driving it almost daily.
So I finally got some work done on the car today. Clean it up, fixed the miss by changing plug wires, also grease the front end. I also cleaned one of the rallys. Then I took it for a drive.
